Since his last episode of “The Colbert Report,” Stephen Colbert is back and taking over David Letterman’s place as host of “The Late Show.” 

Colbert keeps his humor while standing under a new light as he leaves heavy satire, but keeps the humor and entertainment. The show kicked off with talk about Ashely Madison, interviews with George Clooney and Jeb Bush, and making the audience crave Oreo cookies while making fun of Donald Trump.

Colbert brought in high ratings for the CBS show at 6.5 million viewers, and here’s why.
