Not all the cast was present at the event or able to interview, however, Neon Tommy was able to get an exclusive interview with producer Jason Blum and writer/director Leigh Whannell. When asked what keeps drawing Jason to horror films and what makes him excited to start a new project, he exclaimed how new and exciting ideas that really gives a new insight on what horror films are all about is what makes him excited about future projects. He has produced excellent works in creating successful films such as the Purge, and, one of my favorites, Sinister.

He continued in saying one of the biggest things that keeps him focused on a project is living and staying in the moment and not focusing on the success or how big the actual production is going to be. Although hard to do, that is a great form of thinking. On the screenwritting side of things, Leigh Whannell talked about his motivation when writting. As a young screenwriter myself, I asked him what keeps him focused and motivated in writing and he explained that one just needs to really find a story that, no matter how much you may push it off, the passion and fire is still there.
Mr. Whannell has had major success in writting major films such as all three Insious films, as well as, starting the groundbreaking franchise, Saw. His biggest concern in his writting is his effect on the audience. His passion for writting horror films, he says, is based on the fact that he loves to see the audience react and scream. Contrary to drama, where the only time one will be able to truely see how people felt is afterwards in the reviews (rather than in side the movie theater).
I had many amazing interviews with other great entertainers such as Dave Shelton, his wife, and Tom Fitzpatrick (who plays Bride in Black in the movie). They all have many years in the entertainment industry and gave great advice that includes always staying busy and, no matter what, put in all the effort if you are really passionate and let no one stop your passion.
