Incumbent councilwoman of the 6th District, Nury Martinez, took the lead with 59 percent of the votes.

Cindy Montanez, who is challenging Martinez's, follows behind with 40 percent of the votes.

A total of 4,282 votes were cast via absentee ballot in the 6th District.
