Every red carpet has new fashion trends that critics look out for, and Grammys isn't an exception. Check out what caught our eye as stars arrived at music's biggest night:

Sparkles

This obviously isn't a new trendl; instead, we notice the new designs that make use of it to add that little extra touch. These stars made appropriate use of the risky ensemble without going over the top.

Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox looked glamorous in a Marc Jacobs LBD. The black beaded dress had everything needed to keep it from looking plain with a studded top.

Kim Kardashian

Kim strikes again! She received ridicule for wearing what looks like a robe to the Grammys, but that may be the fanciest robe I've ever seen. The lavish gown is from Jean Paul Gaultier.

Paris Hilton

Hilton stepped out in a silver sequin dress from Yousef-Al-Jasmi. She didn't shy away from showing off her figure with several sheer cutouts and a deep-running leg slit.

Cut Outs

Cut outs can alone make a dress if done properly. Many stars chose to go minimal with a few slits to give the dress proper shape.

Chrissy Teigen wore a long-sleeved, backless Emilio Pucci gown as she walked in arms with husband John Legend. The Sports Illustrated model showed everyone how to dress for the occasion.

Miley Cyrus

You may have expected Miley to pull a crazy stunt today, but say goodbye to the past and take a look at this dress. She made a classy appearance in a Alexandre Vauthier black gown with cut outs seen from top to bottom.

Iggy Azalea

Iggy stayed away from looking too "fancy," but instead chose to showcase a braid crown with her cobalt blue Armani Prive dress. Her hairdo most certainly drew attention to the rapper with four nominations.

Emerald

The color emerald was plenty to be seen at this year's carpet, in styles ranging from maxis to jumpsuits.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift could not have looked more stunning in this teal Elie Saab gown. Her A-line, high-low dress was just enough to show off her legs while remaining elegant.

Jane Fonda

If we can look like Jane Fonda at age 77, we'd be damn happy. Her bright emerald Balmain jumpsuit decorated with a gold choker made a statement, to say the least. And that statement may have been: age really doesn't matter when it comes to fashion.

Gina Rodriguez

Our favorite breakout star Gina Rodriguez attended the Grammys in a V-neck, zip-up Christos Costarellos dress. The teal outline and a mid-waist design gave color to the flowy white dress.
