Terminally Ill Brittany Maynard Chooses Her Own Death

Brittany Maynard, a terminally ill woman suffering from a type of malignant brain tumor, chose to die on her own accords in Portland, Oregon. She was 29.

Maynard has recently become a face of the controversial right-to-die movement, in which terminally ill patients choose to end their suffering through physician assisted suicide. Oregon is one example of a state in America that allow such act under Death with Dignity Act.
