Results Of Close Governor Races Called

Gov. John Hickenlooper, Democrat, was one of several incumbents who lost their seats. (tales of a wandering youkai/CreativeCommons)
The Associated Press recently called the results for Governors' seats. Here are the highlights so far, according to AP:

1. Colorado-John Hickenlooper, Democrat: The incumbent was able to hold his seat against Republican Bob Beauprez, with Hickenlooper at 48.4% of the vote and Beauprez at 47.04%. 

2. Florida-Rick Scott, Republican: The incumbent retained his seat after beating out Democrat challenger Charlie Crist with 48.20% of the vote. Crist recieved 47.01%.

 

3. Illinois-Bruce Rauner, Republican: The former Chairman of private equity firm GTCR beat out Democrat incumbent Patt Quinn by a large margin, with Rauner taking in 50.73% of the vote and Quinn taking in only 45.89%.

4. Connecticut-Dan Malloy, Democrat: The incumbent beat former U.S. Ambassador beat Tom Foley, taking in 50.32% of Connecticut's vote and Foley taking in 48.62%.

5. Maine-Paul LePage, Republican: The incumbent kept his seat against the former U.S. Rep. for Maine's second congressional district, Mike Michaud. LePage took in 47.82% of the vote and Michaud took 43.72%.
