Plane Crash In Bahamas Kills 9

A small plane crashed Sunday while approaching the island of Grand Bahama, killing all 9 peoplep on board.

The Lear jet was en route from Nassau when the plane crashed at the Grand Bahama Shipyard. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, however reports say there had been heavy rain fall across the region.  

The crash happened around 5 p.m. local time, as people were gathering for an annual Christian leadership conference in Grand Bahama. A prominent Bahamian minister who had organized the event, was among those who died, amongst others in his delegation. 

Authorities are still trying to identify the other victims. A full investigation is expected to take place Monday morning.
