11 arrests were made after thousands of students marched through London protesting education cuts, tuition fees and student debt on Wednesday, according to the BBC. The mostly-peaceful protest, also called The Free Education March, ended with a rally in Parliament Square. The march wasn't endorsed by the National Union of Students, which is a conferation of student unions across the United Kingdom dedicated to promoting, defending, and extending students' rights.

The march was backed instead by groups such as the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts.
