How Serious Of A Problem Is Driver Fatigue?

On the way to Disney World this past weekend, a Louisiana teenage driver fell asleep at the wheel. The car hit the highway median and rolled over, killing five passengers.

And on Monday, a tour bus driver caused two separate crashes in one day due to fatigue. The second killed one man and injured 30 passengers.

Anecdotally, we know how dangerous driver fatigue can be to road safety. But how widespread is it? And how serious? Below, an infographic that puts this problem in perspective.
