Right now, the Democratic Party represents the majority in the Senate, while the Republican Party holds the majority in the House of Representatives. 

However, due to a general lack of younger, minority voters in the midterms, the outcome of these elections are expected to turn over the power of Congress to the GOP.

Politically conscious celebrities are publicly rocking the vote to stress the importance of these elections and to encourage fans to head to the polls.
