The city manager of one of Los Angeles County's richest communities announced today that he will retire his post in February 2015.

Jeff Kolin was appointed city manager of Beverly Hills in January 2010, but the former Santa Rosa city manager has more than 35 years of city government experience.

"Leading Beverly Hills has been the high point of my career," Kolin said. "This is a city with outstanding employees, engaged and sophisticated residents and a dynamic business community."
