AC/DC Drummer Accused In Murder Plot
The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Wednesday that Phil Rudd appeared in New Zealand’s Tauranga District Court. Police say that along with possession of illegal drugs, Rudd, 60, is charged with attempting to procure a murder.
Online news publication Stuff.co.nz reported that Rudd did not enter a plea when he appeared in court wearing a gray sweater and jeans. Pictures of his unshaven face entering and leaving the courtroom appeared on Twitter shortly after he was released on bail.

Rudd has been court ordered to cease all contact with the hit man he allegedly attempted to hire.
The SunLive news website published a quote from a police official indicating that the information leading to the raid on Rudd’s house was given to law enforcement by a member of the public.
Stuff reported that Rudd is to appear in court in three weeks to address the issue.
AC/DC most recently made headlines after the co-founder and guitarist of the band, Malcolm Young, retired from the group and was diagnosed with dementia.
