Fall and winter are most fashionistas' favorite seasons because the summer heat craze is over and we prepare for more clothing. It's time to layer up, but layers don’t mean looking clumpy and messy. It’s the perfect opportunity for a gal to accessorize.

1. Wearing Scarfs

You’re bound to feel lazy on a cold fall day, even if the sun is peeking out. Wearing leggings and jeans with an oversized sweater often conveys a lazy mood, but with a pair of boots and a colorful scarf, it immediately looks like more effort was put into the outfit. Plus, it adds a little something extra to the outfit.

2. Putting On A Sweatshirt

Sometimes it can be tricky to dress for fall because the irratic weather doesn't always coincide with the trends. You have to find a balance between bright spring and summer colors, and darker fall hues. But, it's also a chance to play with wacky materials and designs.

3. Mixing And Matching Summer And Winter Pieces

Have you ever felt like wearing a dress or a tank top with a skirt but the weather isn’t in your favor? Add some leggings and a cardigan, and you instantly have an ensemble complete with your favorite complimenting summer and winter clothes.

4. Playing With Color

In fall, it's acceptable to wear bright summer colors and pair them up with light, tranquil colors or dark, vampy ones.

5. Wearing Long-Sleeved Dresses

Every girl should have one, and if you have more than that, now is the time to bring them out. Patterned or solid-colored, the long-sleeved dress is a staple for fall.

6. Wearing Animal Print

We wear animal print all year round, but fall is the time to really play it up. Leopard-print scarves, cardigans, shoes and pants are all popular during the fall. Plus the trend never goes out of style, so last year’s printed flats will still work this season.

7. Florals Are Still In Bloom

Once winter hits, we see fewer people wearing floral prints, but the rules have changed. You can still rock the the springtime trend well into November.
