In honor of Veteran’s Day, here are seven celebrities that have served in the military.

The “Girls” actor joined the US Marine Corps shortly after the events of 9/11. He served for over two years before being medically discharged.

2. Morgan Freeman

The actor enlisted in the US Air Force in 1955, spending four years in the military.

Elvis Presley (Tumblr @laurasaxby)

The late musician was already a rock star when he entered into the US Army in March 1958. He was deployed to Friedberg, Germany.

4. Clint Eastwood

The actor served in the Army during the Korean War, even claiming to have escaped from a sinking aircraft.

5. Bill Cosby

The actor joined the US Navy in 1956 as a hospital corpsman.

6. Arnold Schwarzenegger

Schwarzenegger served in the Austrian Army in 1965– a service then required by all 18-year-old Austrian males. 

7. Mr. T

After being expelled from college, the actor was a military policeman in the Army.
