Turner Broadcasting To Cut 1,475 Jobs

Turner Broadcasting, the parent company of such media giants as CNN, TNT, and TBS has announced a layoff of 1,475 employees, amounting to roughly 10 percent of its total staff.

The change will include voluntary separations and elimination of unfilled positions in addition to job cuts. Layoffs will occur at a wide distribution of locations and levels of positions. Turner plans to add about 150 positions in areas of investment and growth.
