Tropical Storm Simon Prompts High Surf Warnings In SoCal

Tropical Storm Simon, downgraded from hurricane as it weakened while approaching Baja California, has caused some high surfs and rip currents on beaches facing south and southeast of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Large waves and rip currents may last until Tuesday and dwindle into Wednesday. Authorities have warned swimmers and surfers of the condition.
