The second nurse who contracted Ebola while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan has been cured and released from the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Amber Joy Vinson appeared at a press conference at the university's hospital and thanked all those that helped in her recovery process. Vinson's release follows fellow nurse Nina Pham's exit from the hospital last Friday after she was also cleared of the disease.

Now that Vinson is free of Ebola, only a single case remains in the United States. Craig Spencer, the doctor who was hospitalized in New York on Thursday, remains contained in serious but stable condition.

There are still a few people being monitored in Dallas who came into contact with Vinson and Pham, but if they show no signs of the disease by Nov. 7, they will be cleared and the city will be declared Ebola-free.
