One Dead In Ventura County Military Plane Crash

The crash occurred in a field off Highway 1 and Hueneme Road just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The contract aircraft had departed from Point Mugu.

The plane is a Hawker Hunter MK.58 single-seater. The accident is currently under investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
