Mother And Two Children Injured From Jefferson And Vermont Crash

A car collided into a bus stop with a mother and her two children near the USC Campus at around 1 p.m. today. According to the police, the silver vehicle was traveling east on Jefferson and was making a left turn onto Vermont on a green arrow.

"The vehicle lost control which caused her to change direction and collide with three people who were waiting for the bus," said Officer Peter Argueta. The mother and her two children, 1-year-old and 3-year-old respectively, suffered severe injuries at the time of the crash. According to Officer Argueta, they are now in stable condition.

The female driver suffered minor injuries from the crash. She was allegedly steering left to avoid something on the road. Officer Argueta stated that police will investigate surveillance tapes regarding the reason of the collision. There were no investigation on driver intoxication.
