Experimental Spacecraft Crashes In Mojave Desert

SpaceShipTwo, an experimental spacecraft from British spaceflight company Virgin Galactic crashed during a test flight in the Mojave Desert earlier today. Virgin Galactic said one of its aircraft had “experienced an in-flight anomaly.” According to the Associated Press, one pilot was killed and a second suffered a “major injury” and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital. The hospital was unable to comment about the status of the injured pilot.
