Get your tissues ready folks, Nicholas Sparks' new movie, "The Best of Me," is hitting theaters next week.

"The Best Of Me" follows the relationship between two star-crossed lovers: Amanda (Michelle Monaghan) and Dawson (James Marsden).

When the pair first meet as teenagers they fall madly in love, but with Amanda's parents intent on keeping them apart, the romance is suddenly extinguished.

However, in true Nicholas Sparks fashion, love trumps all and the couple reconnects, as if by fate, 20 years later.

The film premiered at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Tuesday night, and stars of the movie couldn't help but gush over the story line- even if it does resemble every other Sparks story.

"It's really about second chances, being reconnected with loved ones and self-discovery, or the rediscovery of who you once were," Monaghan said. "It's beautiful."

Monaghan's costar, and onscreen mother, Carolyn Goodall agreed. The "Hook" star walked down the carpet soon after and discussed her personal attachment to the film, as well as Sparks in general.

"I cry at every Nicholas Sparks film," Goodall said. "They're a guilty pleasure aren't they? And to be a part of a guilty pleasure is really fun."

Anyone who has watched "The Notebook" or "A Walk To Remember" knows that the aforementioned is true, but surprisingly, the film isn't just a guilty pleasure romance. "The Best of Me" encompasses many complex relationships, aside from the much anticipated romance.

"I play Michelle [Monaghan]s son in the film, "actor Ian Nelson explained. "The writing in those scenes was so incredibly honest and it was so simple but there was so much there. It only worked if Michelle and I got along great and we really did, we had the relationship that fulfilled the scenes and that was very special."

Nelson wasn't the only one that recognized the in depth connections made on set. Director Michael Hoffman also praised the cast for a stellar performance.

"I don't think [The Best of Me] is different," Hoffman said. "But the level of acting is extraordinary and it's really moving. I've seen people in pieces time after time."

So if happy tears, a star-studded cast and an overflow of romance interests you, it's only right to go see the latest Nicholas Sparks movie.
