7 Gossip-Worthy Shows

As fall sets in, it's time to catch up the season's best shows. And what better way to gage what to watch than to get hooked on the most gossip worth series on air?

To help everyone out, here's a list of seven shows that you can gossip at the water cooler about:

1. The Affair (Showtime)

This steamy new show has attracted a lot of attention in its first few weeks. As its title suggests, the series follows a married teacher, Dominic West, who reflects on his affair with a beautiful waitress on Long Island. 

Why it's gossip worthy: The storyline is brilliant and surprisingly original. The tension and emotion conveyed in this show is thick enough to be cut with a knife. Between two near death experiences and numerous sultry encounters, even the first episode could keep you gossiping at the water cooler for hours. 

2. How To Get Away With Murder (ABC)

Shonda Rhimes strikes gold again with this new network show. Told in a series of flashbacks, this series tackles murder cases from the vantage point of law students. A handful of savvy students are assigned to work with a successful but ruthless law professor, Viola Davis, who enables them to solve crimes outside of the classroom. 

Why it's gossip worthy: It was created by Shonda Rhimes, do you need another reason?

3.  Modern Family (ABC)

Although it's still on air, this dynamic sitcom is quickly becoming a comedy classic. Every week the characters manage to keep viewers in stitches with new and crazy antics. It's been five years and we're still not tired of watching these modern families! 

Why it's gossip worthy: So many quality jokes are packed into 'Modern Family's' 30-minute time slot that reflecting on the Dunpy's outlandish behavior will bring cheer to any sullen day.

4. American Horror Story (FX)

Back for its third season, this thrilling series follows the life of the members in a circus group. Labeled 'Freakshow,' the mentally and physically disfigured characters is sure to give you nightmares. 

Why it's gossip worthy: 'American Horror Story' is one of a kind in it's approach to horror. No other show offers such a chilling storyline with genuinely creepy moments. With Halloween right around the corner, this series offers several horror stories to share with friends. 

5. The Flash (CW)

'The Flash' is the superhero show we've been waiting for since 'Supernatural.' This show follows a forensic scientist (Grant Gustin) that awakes from a coma with lightening speed ability and the desire to be a superhero. 

Why it's gossip worthy: The show does a great job of retelling a classic comic book story. From the high quality of acting to the cool special effects, this show keeps viewers hooked and you'll enjoy recapping all of the Flash's glorious adventures.

6. The Blacklist (NBC)

This hit show captures criminal drama like no other. 'The Blacklist' follows a high profile criminal who teams up with the FBI to catch several notorious crooks. Every week the FBI crosses a new person off of the 'Blacklist' in an action-packed, hour long segments. 

Why it's gossip worthy: 'The Blacklist' is suspenseful from beginning to end. This show keeps viewers on their toes and will leave you pining to discuss Red's (the criminal) latest trick. 

7. Scandal (ABC)

A show has never lived up to it's name as seriously as 'Scandal' does. This series focuses on a former White House Communications Director (Kerry Washington) who specializes in crisis management. However, it quickly becomes obvious that she harbors secrets way more damaging than her clients. 

Why it's gossip worthy: 'Scandal' deals with a new dilemma every week but always builds upon underlying layers of romance and familial scandal. Each episode ends in a cliffhanger that is worthy of gossiping at the water cooler, the mailroom, the elevator and more.
