Now that we're well into fall, the weather is starting to noticably cool down. And as the temperature starts to change, so too do the style trends. Here are five October essentials to upgrade your look this season.

Over-The-Knee Socks

As the weather gets cooler, the boots start to come out. Accessorize your favorite pair with lace-trimmed socks. They will add a fun, flirty look to your outfit while still keeping your legs warm.

Cargo Jacket

October weather can be confusing, especially in Los Angeles—it’s often too cold for just a T-shirt, but not cold enough for a jacket. The perfect solution? A cargo jacket. It’ll keep you comfortable on those chilly days but won’t be too heavy for L.A.'s fickle weather.

Deep-Colored Nail Polish

Even the smallest details can really make your look stand out. Invest in a rich, deep shade of nail polish as we start to transition away from the bright colors of summer.

Curling Iron or Wand

Just because it’s October doesn’t mean you have to leave those beachy waves behind. Experiment with new hairstyles. A good hair day can make even the worst Mondays better.

T-shirt Dress

Comfort and style is a winning combination. T-shirt dresses are a must-have because they are effortlessly cute. When you sleep through your alarm and have no time to think about an outfit before your 8 a.m. class, a simple cotton t-shirt dress will be your best friend.
