Scotland Votes Against Independence

Scotland rejected independence in the referendum Thursday, siding with the campaign to keep the county in the U.K.

The Better Together campaign, backed by Prime Minister David Cameron, had 57.6 percent of the vote. The "yes" campaign, headed by the Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond, had 42.4 percent.
