The sweltering L.A. heat can't keep fall fashion at bay. Deep colors, splashes of plaid and all-denim ensembles are gracing both the runway and retail racks. While it may be too warm for your favorite tweed coat, pops of rich fall hues are just what you need to get in the fall fashion groove.

Red is a popular color for both the fall and winter. This season, shades of deep red, crimson and burgundy are finding their way into your favorite pieces. From bags, shoes, statement jewelry and chunky sweaters, bold red pieces are becoming a fall must-have.

Los Angeles fashion blogger, Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea wore her splash of red to New York Fashion Week. She chose to pair her olive green and black Rag & Bone sweater and grey trousers with a deep red MCM bag. The bag brightens her neutral outfit and serves as the perfect pop that takes the outfit from cute to chic.

Another L.A. blogger who is bringing a pop of red to the forefront is Aimee Song of Song of Style. She pairs an off-the-shoulder black dress (another hot fall-fashion trend) with maroon oxford ankle booties. The Zimmerman booties immediately attract your attention, serving as the perfect accessory to an LBD. This outfit is a great example of how to dress for the weather while still incorporating essential fall pieces and staying on trend.

While these fashion bloggers are rocking this trend right off the runway, you can integrate splashes of red into your fall wardrobe without breaking the fashion piggy bank. Score these red-hot suede ankle booties for just under $28 dollars at Forever 21 or pair a simple maroon cardigan from American Eagle Outfitters with your favorite denim button-up or skinny jeans for just over $40 dollars.

These pops of red are just what you need to bring your wardrobe into fall. Some of these pops of red are probably even hiding in your closet. Before you do a fall wardrobe overhaul, check out what pieces you already have. You'll be surprised at the effortlessly cute looks you can create by combining these fun pops of red with your fashion staples.

While the changing of the leaves seems far away in Los Angeles, this autumn trend can also be paired with lighter summery pieces, so you can keep cool while staying on trend.
