The Islamic State Adds The Pope To Enemies List
The Iraqi ambassador to the Holy See told the Vatican that the Islamic State plans on assassinating the Pope.
This warning comes before Pope Francis's trip to Albania on Sept. 21; however, he refuses to ramp up security during his visit.
The claims are not tied to any specific intelligence, according to World.Mic, but Ambassador Habeeb al-Sadr is basing the warning off the Islamic State's track record.
The Islamic State has about 20,000 to 31,500 estimated members.
