Accomplished Chicago theater actress, Molly Glynn, who played a recurring role on the television series "Chicago Fire," died Saturday from a falling tree due to a powerful storm. The tree struck her as she was on her bike in a park. She was 46.

According to People, Glynn had an audition earlier that day on Friday. She and her husband decided to go for a bike ride when the weather took them by surprise. In an attempt to find safety, the tree slammed into Glynn.

"It was a freak accident and a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time," Glynn's husband, Joe Foust, said.

Glynn is survived by her two sons, Declan and Chance, in addition to her husband.
