In 2012, word about “Finding Dory” (the sequel to the 2003 Oscar-winning film, “Finding Nemo”) spread.

In the 2003 film, Ellen DeGeneres was the voice of Dory, a fish with memory problems that helps a friend cross the ocean to find his son, Nemo.

According to Entertainment Weekly, “The Wire” co-stars Idris Elba and Dominic West are reuniting as part of the voice cast for “Finding Dory.”

Fans of the show have been wanting a reunion of “The Wire” cast, and now they’re getting one—sort of. It is rumored that the two actors will have a scene or two together.

“I saw Idris recently. We’re both in the sequel to “Finding Nemo,” so we were recording that,” West said

Although Disney did not respond for comment to Entertainment Weekly, it is known that some familiar characters (other than Dory, of course) will be back: Marlin, the clownfish (Albert Brooks) and Gill (Willem Dafoe). Some new characters are on the way, including Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy, who are to play Dory’s parents.

We’ll be waiting quite a while before this film comes out. Pixar, who is working with Disney on the film, is releasing two films before the “Finding Nemo” sequel: “Inside Out” and “The Good Dinosaur,” according to Screenrant

“Finding Dory” is expected to hit theaters June 17, 2016 in 2D and 3D.

Until then, “Just keep swimming.”
