A new form of the ALS ice bucket challenge has appeared in the Arab world: Burning the ISIS flag.

Three Lebanese young men in Beirut burned the group's black banner, which is emblazoned with the Muslim tenet "there is no god but God and Muhammed is his prophet," according to Mother Jones. The teens then posted the video of burning  to YouTube and urged other's to do the same.

The campaign demonstrates opposition to the Islamic State movement, headed by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The Islamic State allegedly beheaded a Lebanese army sergeant and kidnapped about 20 Lebanese soliders in recent weeks.

The campaign gained followers quickly on social media under the hashtag #BurnISISFlagChallenge, especially in Lebanon.
