7 Celebs Of The 2000s We Wish Were Still Together

The 2000s were a strange time. Fashion trends were suspended in a world of bandanas, hoop earrings and halter-tops. The technology era was just beginning and everyone had flip phones (shout out to the pink Motorola RAZR V3). And, there were a lot of odd celebrity couples as well (See Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock). That being said, some of the A-list relationships seemed like a match made in heaven. Here are the couples that we wish were still together.

1. Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth, 2003 – 2006

Arguably two of the most attractive people I have ever seen, Orlando and Kate would’ve made beautiful babies. Now that Miranda Kerr is out of the picture, maybe we’re on our way to a “Katlando” reunion? Fingers crossed.

2. Aaron Carter and Hilary Duff, 2000 – 2003

Hilary acted in a show about preteen drama and Aaron sang songs about preteen drama – what could be better? Bonus: They had the exact same bangs. A winning combo for sure.

3. Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, 1999 – 2002

Who could forget this classic double denim duo? JT and Britney were truly a pop star dream team. Let’s all have a moment of silence for the awesome collabs that could’ve been made if these two had stayed together.

4. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, 2005 – 2010

I will ship this forever. Zac and Vanessa were even more magical in real life than Troy and Gabriella were on-screen. And if “Zanessa” had stayed together, maybe we would’ve been blessed with “High School Musical 4: College Edition.” Don’t try to tell me you wouldn’t want to watch that. Yeah, that’s what I thought.

5. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, 2004 – 2007, 2008

No explanation needed. Here is a video of them at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards if you need convincing.

6. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, 2000 – 2005

Sure, there was a lot of drama around these two, but have we seen Jen happier than she was with Brad (before Angelina came along, of course)? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big “Brangelina” fan, but Jen and Brad are my one true pair.

7. Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, 1999 – 2006

Individually, Nick and Jessica are pretty low-key celebrities and they both fly under the radar. Put them together, though, and you get a power couple. They even had their own reality show “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.” If that doesn’t tell you that they’re meant to be then I don’t know what will.
