National Dog Day Shows Love To All Dog Breeds

Today is National Dog Day and dog lovers and owners headed over to social media to show a little more love to their canine friends. 

National Dog Day has been held on August 26 since 2004 and the founder, Colleen Paige, had a simple goal in establishing this special day.

"I want this to be a day to encourage dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure – to help abolish puppy mills and end breed specific legislation so we can create a world where all dogs [and every animal] can live a happy, safe and abuse-free life," National Dog Day founder Colleen Paige said
