“Hamas was hit hard and got none of its demands,” Netayahu said. He also added that Israel will no longer tolerate any more military aggressions from Hamas, and “will retaliate even harder” if they are attacked once again.
Following the abrupt ceasefire initiated by Egypt on Tuesday, both parties have agreed to remove the blockades around the boarder and allow the humanitarian aids to enter for the first time since 2007.
The recent war between Israel and Palestine in Gaza that lasted for 50 days perished more than 2,200 lives—70 percent of which were civilian casualties according to UN. More than 17,000 buildings in Gaza were destroyed due to the war, and at least 475,000 people (more than a quarter of the territory’s population) were displaced from home.
