It may seem as if all the news coming out of the Middle East is about Iraq, Israel or Gaza, but Egypt is making headlines of its own. On Saturday Ahram Online announced Egypt's plans to disband the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood.

A ruling by Egypt's High Administrative Court ordered the liquefaction of the political party's assets.

This order follows a decision to dissolve the the FJP's parent organization, the Muslim Brotherhood last October. Just two months later the group was publicly declared to be a terrorist organization.
