Details are emerging about the Houston-area shooting that left six dead, including four children.

Ron Lee Haskell, 34, was arrested after a three-hour standoff with sheriff's deputies and faces charges of capital murder, according to CNN. He shot and killed four children, ages ranging from 4 to 13, and two adults, Stephen Stay, 39, and Katie Stay, 33. The shooting occurred inside a home in the suburb of Spring, about 20 miles north of Houston.

A 15-year-old girl was also shot but survived by playing dead and calling the police. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman said she told police Haskell was headed for her grandparents' home with more plans for violence, but police beat him there, which led to the standoff.

Early reports claimed Haskell was possibly the father of the children killed, though updates since then have indicated Haskell was the 15-year-old's "ex-uncle" and possibly the adopted father of one or two of the other children.

Officials say Haskell was in search of his estranged wife when he forced himself into the home. He reportedly posed as a delivery man when the 15-year-old girl answered the door.
