The 2014 All-Star Weekend in Minneapolis wrapped up Tuesday night with the All-Star Game between the National and American Leagues. Over the past several years, Major League Baseball has received criticism from fans and journalists about the lack of excitement, enthusiasm and meaning in its midseason festivities. From honoring legendary shortstop Derek Jeter’s final All-Star appearance to expressing outrage at the lack of mention of the late Tony Gwynn, this year’s game saw every reaction imaginable, even a little humor.
