A Malaysia Airlines passenger jet with 295 people on board was shot down over Ukraine near the Russian border.

The plane was at 33,000 feet when it was shot down by a surface-to-air missile in Ukraine, according to Fox News. The official airline Twitter account announced it has lost contact with the plane:

Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has ordered the country’s Ministry of Defense to investigate the incident.

This comes just a few months after Malaysia Airlines flight 370 went missing with 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board. Flight 370 still has not been recovered.
