CBS Chair To Emmy Voters: 'I'm Pissed' Over 'Good Wife' Snub
While the show's actors were individually nominated, "The Good Wife" itself was overlooked.
Actually, broadcast networks as a whole were denied nominations. "Game of Thrones," "Breaking Bad," "True Detective," "House of Cards," "Downton Abbey" and "Mad Men" were nominated for Best Drama Series.
Tassler did not mince words. "I'm pissed," she said.
"'The Good Wife' is an incredible show; I would hold it up against any cable or broadcast show out there," Tassler continued. "The production schedule for a show like that with 22 episodes, our production schedules are so much more demanding, so much more difficult."
It is uncommon for a top executive like Tassler to publicly criticize an Emmy decision, though the show was widely believed to have had its best season yet and thus deserving of recognition.
