The inauguration of Egypt’s new president, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, was marred by sexual assaults, according to The Daily Beast.

A video of one of the incidents surfaced on the internet showing a teenager being stripped naked and attacked by a large group of men in the country’s infamous Tahrir Square, says USA Today.

Buzzfeed reports that police arrested seven men in conjunction with assaults on at least five women. Egyptian media reporting on the attacks were criticized for saying that the attackers were “having a good time” and that “boys will be boys.”

These are just a few of many similar incidents that have plagued rallies in Egypt since 2011, prompting women’s rights groups to accuse the government of failing to address the growing issue of sexual assaults by mobs of men on women, according to The New York Times.

The North African country issued a law last week stating that sexual harassment is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison, says The Huffington Post.
