In an unannounced trip, Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Baghdad to urge the political leaders to form a more inclusive government to combat the military crisis.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is committed to keeping July 1 as the date to convene parliament   to the new government, according to the Daily Beast.

Kerry urged Shiite leaders to give Sunnis more power to stop the Sunnis insurgency that is taking over the country and being a militant threat, says The Boston Globe.

Kerry warned the leaders that President Obama may take military action before the new government is formed.

"Make no mistake: the president has moved the assets into place and has been gaining each day the assurances he needs with respect to potential targeting. And he reserves the right to himself, to make a decision at any point in time if he deems it necessary," Kerry said at a press conference.

Kerry is urging the leaders to make the change to stop the terrorist network in their country for the safety of the people.
