Hillary Clinton Is Running For President In 2016… Maybe
In a no-holds-barred hour-long special interview with Diane Sawyer set to air Monday, June 9, titled “Hillary Clinton: Public and Private,” Clinton is anticipated to offer the public the biggest hints yet on her plans for the 2016 race.
“I will be on the way to making a decision by the end of the year…certainly not before then,” Clinton says. Her goals for right now include “just [getting] through this year,” including sifting through her “pluses and minuses about what [she] will - and will not be thinking about as [she] make[s] the decision.”
Clinton offers her thoughts on the Bergdahl POW exchange, as well as the condition of her health in an excerpt of the interview that was released ahead of the air date. In response to speculation by Republican strategist Karl Rove that her health has suffered a permanent setback, the potential candidate reports that she has suffered “no lingering effects” from the concussion and blood clot she suffered back in 2012, and would be willing to release her medical records, as previous candidates have done should she decide to pursue the candidacy.
Even a conservative contributor to the Daily Beast thinks that Hillary will win the upcoming election. To Madame Clinton: the competition’s concession to your superior superiority alone should be reason enough to run.
