Celebrities better be on the look out, there is a red carpet ’nutter’ on the loose!

Last Wednesday, Brad Pitt joined his fiancée Angelina Jolie and family for the premiere of Jolie’s new movie, “Maleficent,” in Hollywood.

While signing autographs for a line of waiting fans, Ukrainian journalist Vitalii Sediuk rushed up to Pitt and began hitting him in the face. Witnesses reported they saw Sediuk jump over the barrier surrounding the fan area and onto the red carpet infront of the El Capitan Theatre. Security guards were able to pull Sediuk off Pitt and he continued sign autographs for fans.

Sediuk was arrested on suspicion of battery, which he plead no contest to last Friday.

Though no harm was done to Pitt or any of the Pitt-Jolie clan, Pitt has recently spoken out about the red carpet commotion.

He told People magazine, “I was at the end of the line signing autographs, when out the corner of my eye I saw someone stage-diving over the barrier at me. I took a step back; this guy had latched onto my lapels. I looked down and the nutter was trying to bury his face in my crotch, so I cracked him twice in the back of the head – not too hard – but enough to get his attention, because he did let go. I think he was then just grabbing for a hand hold because the guys were on him, and he reached up and caught my glasses.”

Pitt went on to say, "I don't mind an exhibitionist, but if this guy keeps it up he's going to spoil it for the fans who have waited up all night for an autograph or a selfie, because it will make people more wary to approach a crowd. And he should know, if he tries to look up a woman's dress again, he's going to get stomped."

This isn’t the first time Sediuk has approached one of Hollywood’s stars during an event. Just last month Sediuk made headlines for putting his head under America Ferrera’s dress at the Cannes Film Festival. He also tried to kiss Will Smith at the premiere of “Men in Black 3” in 2012 and rushed on stage while Adele received her Grammy in 2013.
