“If they come to Amazon for their music needs, they become better and longer-term Amazon customers and we think that’s a good thing,” said Steve Boom, Amazon’s vice president for digital music.

The service will be available to the users of Kindle Fire, IOS and Android devices, who can download and listen to music offline, the USA Today reports.
Amazon's Free playlists will offer thousands of tracks and albums from The Lumineers, Pink, Madonna and many others, but will miss artists like Katy Perry and Jay-Z due to the failed deal with Universal Music Group, the Associated Press reports.
Users will be offered an option to customize their playlists by genre and mix Prime Music with their own playlists.
