Summer Road Trip Playlist
With summer calling and the ocean beckoning (if you are in a location that allows), the only thing that would top off the perfect vacation is great music to accompany it. Here are some classics, as well as some fresh tunes that would be the great soundtrack to a hopefully even better summer.
"I Wanna Go" by Summer Heart
The only way to listen to this relaxing, melodic tune is on a car ride along the coast with all the windows down, great company, and the stereo on its highest volume.
"Summer" by Calvin Harris
Put together some Calvin Harris and some summer fun, and you get a great, great time. Guaranteed.
"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!
Do yourself a favor and treat you and your friends to a dose of Wham! This familiar tune will get you pumped for anything, and probably induce a sing-a-long in a car full of very excited people.
"Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line
Imagine you and your friends on a long stretch of highway in the middle of nowhere, and this song is playing on the stereo. This song will definitely want to make you “roll my windows down and cruise.”
"Goodbye" by Glenn Morrison, Islove
Warning: the chorus is extremely catchy. Proceed with caution.
"Love On Top" by Beyoncé
Nothing is funnier than hearing your friends try to sing-a-long with Beyonce. Try to reach those high notes. I dare you.
"Doses & Mimosas" by Cherub
A really great song to enjoy with some really great people.
"Dancing in the Moonlight" by Toploader
This fun remake of the classic song is the perfect song to play as the sun is setting on the road. One suggestion: Passengers must dance along to this song. Maybe even the driver can do a little jiggle (only if it’s safe).
"Celebrate" by Common
What’s a better way to celebrate the summer with some great music. Common’s song is really meant to be enjoyed with your favorite people.
"We Own The Sky" by M83
One should play this song at sun down, when the sky is filled with purples, reds, oranges, and yellows. Nothing better than the perfect view and the perfect tune.
