In yet another alarming case of infanticide, on Tuesday evening three little girls—three years, two years and two month of age—were found dead in their home near Torrance, Calif.

Carol Coronado, the 30-year-old mother of the girls is currently being held on suspicion of stabbing the three girls and attempting to commit suicide herself. Upon arriving at the site, sheriff’s deputies discovered Coronado holding a knife and lying naked in a pool of blood on the bed beside her daughters.

"There was a lot of blood," Lt. Dave Coleman told the Los Angeles Times. "It was a pretty substantial scene inside the residence."

The children’s father, who was home at the time of the arrest was also held for questioning Tuesday night. Neighbors reported that when the police brought him out of the house he was crying, saying “she killed my daughters.”
