Mike D’Antoni Resigned As The Lakers’ Coach Wednesday

Mike D’Antoni stepped down as the Lakers’ coach Wednesday, after a record of 27-55 last season, which was on elf their worst seasons ever.

Both players and the managers were unsatisfied with D’Antoni’s approach. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol disputed his small-ball tactic. And Magic Johnson, an unpaid Lakers vice president, expressed his ecstasy on Twitter, saying “I couldn’t be happier!”

The Lakers’ began coach searching, but they might not have one by the May 20 draft lottery. Some Laker’s analysts shared their predictions about the new coach candidates, which included John Calipari, Mike Krzyzewski and Kevin Ollie.
