The LAPD is now investigating the Canadian kingpin of crime, Justin Bieber, for attempted robbery after the 20-year-old tried to swipe a cellphone from a San Fernando Valley woman.

The incident occurred at Sherman Oaks Castle Park on May 12, some time after the woman and her 13-year-old daughter arrived at the amusement park — presumably with the intention of not being accosted by Justin Bieber.

The victim told TMZ that she witnessed Bieber and members of his entourage engaged in a heated, and inevitably hostile, batting cage "altercation" with park patrons. Frightened that the woman might have snapped photos of late-night fisticuffs — or maybe his embarrassing batting stance — the Biebs demanded the woman's cellphone.

After physically wrestling the device from the victim, only to discover it's the year 2014 and everyone password protects their cellphone, Bieber forced the woman to unlock the phone to prove her Belieber-ness. The late night talk show punchline then screamed, "You're humiliating yourself in front of your daughter! Why don't you just get out here!"

The woman's teenage girl then ran away in tears, which is probably not a first for the washed-up pop star.

According to USA Today, the LAPD has not yet questioned the notorious playboy, but should probably ask Seth Rogen for advice on how to best handle the yolk-throwing delinquent.
