When our favorite show gets axed, us fans lose faith in humanity.

In the beginning of May, NBC announced Dan Harmon’s "Community" cancellation, sending all cult following fans into a darkest timeline. But hold it, faith may be restored. Fans may be allowed to return to Greendale and that is all thanks to Hulu.

The sitcom "Community" aired on NBC for five seasons. Its 97 episodes star Joel McHale as Jeff Winger, a lawyer who is caught with no college degree and is forced to go back to school. As we follow Winger and his community college friends, the show is packed with meta-humor and pop culture references. The ensemble cast features: Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and Chevy Chase.

Cancelling "Community" sent a shock wave to all fans. It upset those hard-core fans who believed in the “six seasons and a movie” mantra, a line reference from the show.

Well good news. The shows producers, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Hulu may be able to bring back the beloved sitcom. According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR) it has confirmed that both companies are in talks to bring the series back for a sixth season. A week after the series was cancelled, SPT’s co-president Jamie Erlicht told THR, “This show had a remarkable history…if there’s any show that should have a future or could have a future, it really feels like Community is the one.”

It seems the sitcom may have a second chance through Hulu. But as ‘Community’ creator Dan Harmon posted on his blog, “there are lots of reasons a Community resurrection could be difficult. So be prepared for that.”

There is only one thing to say, fans hold tight.
