Wildfires in Southern California continue to blaze as firefighters work around the clock to control the damage. More than 9,000 acres have already burned through areas like Carlsbad and San Marcos, according to The L.A. Times. Sources tell ABC10 News that all but one of the nine fires have "suspicious ignition point[s]," though the Carlsbad Fire Department told Neon Tommy they would not speculate because the source of the fires is still under investigation.

Area residents, meanwhile, have taken to Twitter and Instagram to share photos of the fire and heavy smoke.

According to San Diego 6, the Poinsettia Fire affecting Carlsbad is now about 60 percent contained as of this morning.
