A global, industrial monolith blanketed in bright lights and tall structures sits along side L.A.'s 110 freeway. The Port of Long Beach operates as a functioning city, though rarely traveled to by those who drive by.

Long Beach is the second largest global trading port in the United States, with nearly 180 billion dollars worth of goods pouring into Los Angeles each year. There are about 7,000 registered longshoreman that work the docks of Longbeach to ensure effective global trade. Some work 10-hour shifts into the wee hours of the morning. The jobs are dangerous, demanding and like no other jobs in the world.

This is the story about the longshoreman who work the nightshift moving the world one container at a time, composing the sounds of the shores.
