Three Dead In Shootings At Jewish Community Sites
The victims were shot outside of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and a nearby retirement home, authorities said.
The community center is currently on lockdown as FBI and local police are working together to investigate the shooting and its cause, said FBI spokesman Joel Sealer.
Police have one suspect in custody but they have not explicitly connected him to both events.
When the shootings happened, the community center was filled with teenagers attending auditions for a dance recital, KSHB told CNN. Many of the kids were taken to the locker rooms and asked to lay down while gun fire went off around them.
Consequently, the community center will be closed tomorrow during Passover, the center said via Facebook.
